Description

The Lindsay Cardigan is a cozy wardrobe staple. It is perfect as an over-layer companion for indoors or an outside adventure. The fingering weight yarn held double is worked up in a loose gauge, which makes this a quick knit. This cardigan feels lightweight on the body, making this garment ideal for all occasions.

The Lindsay Cardigan is a top-down cardigan worked flat starting with shaping the back neck, moving to raglan increases for working shoulders and sleeves, and body. The fronts are worked throughout the pattern to create fronts that slightly swing over each other. A-line shaping gives it a relaxed and boxy fit. The collar is picked up and worked after the body is complete.

The Lindsay Cardigan has a relaxed fit in the chest, waist and high hip. The raglan increase sections, waist and hip shaping, and loose gauge create this ease. The arms are intended to be looser fitting as well as leave space for undershirts when wearing this cardigan. The fingering-weight yarn held double is worked using a larger needle size to create the best drape possible.

Lindsay is intended to have 3-4 in/7.5-10 cm of positive ease for a loose, easy-to-wear fit. Choose a size accordingly to ensure intended positive ease. Sweater sample shown in size 4.
