Description
This sweater has a lovely ‘sweatshirt-like’ fit and is the perfect over layer and companion for every hike, outside adventure, or a cozy evening at home. The extra depth in the armhole resembles that of a typical ‘sweatshirt’ making the fit very relaxed and free flowing. Cedar Gate’s fit is very similar to my Jensen Pullover, with added color-work for interest while knitting and wearing. This color chart is a great beginner color-work project, using only 2 colors at a time and hardly any floats to catch.
The DK weight yarn worked up in a loose gauge makes this a quick knit, yet feels lightweight on the body, making this garment ideal for all occasions.
This sweater has a top-down construction using short rows to shape the neck. Cedar Gate has a wider neckline with deep raglan lines to give this sweater a perfect sweatshirt feel. Slim fitting arms keep this sweater functional and ready for any activity.
Difficulty Level: Adventurous Beginner
Skills Needed: Knowledge of top-down sweater construction, short rows, basic increases and decreases, stranded color-work, and working from a chart.

Size Information
This sweater has a relaxed, loose fit in the neckline, chest and waist. The raglan increase sections, waist shaping, and loose gauge, create this ease in the sweater. The arms are intended to be slimmer fitting to offset the loose body fit. The DK weight yarn is worked using a larger needle size to create the best drape possible.
The intended fit of the sweater bust is to have 5.75-8 in/14.5-20.25 cm of positive ease for a loose, easy-to-wear fit. The intended fit of the sweater arms is to have 0.75-2 in/2-5 cm for a slimmer positive ease range. Choose a size accordingly to ensure intended positive ease.
Sweater sample shown in size L. Model has 40 in/101.5 cm bust circumference and is 5’ 3’’ in/160 cm tall. This gives the sweater 8 in/20.25 cm of positive ease in the bust, making finished circumference 48 in/122 cm.
