Frey Shawl

$8.00

Frey Shawl is a traditional triangle shawl with a long wingspan to easily wrap around your neck and shoulders. It is knit up in a loose gauge to give it wonderful drape.

In purchasing this product you will receive a digital PDF pattern for the pictured item so that you can knit them up yourself, not the actual finished item.

Description

Frey Shawl starts with a Garter Tab Cast-On. It is then worked back and forth in a combination of garter and stockinette stitch, increasing in the border stitches and in the shawl center to create a triangle. The border stitches are increased at a higher rate than the center to make the wingspan grow slightly larger than the center point of the shawl. After the shawl body is worked, the border is created using garter stitch. A rolled hem is added to the shawl body using short rows to give this shawl some additional texture. It is bound off with a stretchy bind off of your choice.
